Nikki's Surprise Birthday Party (A Somewhat Documentary)

Posted at 08:16 AM | 12 comment(s)

This is a follow-up on this, this and this.

We started planning for Nikki's Surprise Birthday Party on her 18th Birthday. Cherry Anne secretly summoned a meeting to put into action her idea of a surprise party. On December 8, 2004 at around 1:00 PM we, her friends, gathered at Jollibee SM Sucat.

That time, we were confident that we won't get busted. Soon we learned that Nikki and her family would be going to eat at SM Sucat. whoa! Some panicked. We decided to just stay inside Jollibee SM Sucat and hopes that they won't eat there. Surprise surprise! We found out on December 11, 2004 that they were just in front of us, they were at Pizza Hut! Good thing we weren't busted. Haha. After eating lunch at Jollibee and after discussing plans we headed to National Bookstore to buy some supplies and stuff that we need for the decoration. We bought cartolinas, crepe papers, scissors, glue, scotch tape, and other things. Our motif is ORANGE since that is Nikki's favorite color.

After that, we went to Cherry Anne's place to prepare the decorations. We made everything, from twirling stuff, to chains, to banners, and finally, the guestbook/scrapbook. The idea of that scrapbook/guestbook was taken from Art Attack. Too much watching? nah.

We planned the next meeting. December 10, 2004. My place. Anytime available. We also decided that the party would be held on December 11, 2004 at 3 pm because that's the only day available. We called up guests which includes close friends, long lost friends, former classmates, former bestfriends, etc.

We were supposed to meet at my place but I wasn't there. I was at G-Unit Net Cafe, manning the shop. Good thing Theresa E and Samantha managed to come here. They arrived at around 1:30 PM but we still can't go coz my parents weren't here yet to take over. That day was my mom's birthday so they were out celebrating. Anyway, my parents arrived at around 3:30 PM. We immediately headed home to start preparing for Nikki's party.

Preparation Day 2

The next day was the BIG DAY. I went to Cheanne's house early Around 3 or 4 PM. That's early coz we're running Filipino time. We started working on the scrapbook and everything else. Here's the scrapbook.

Scrapbook

When there's already quite a number of guests, we started setting up the place. We went to the other house of Cherry Anne and started setting things up. Nikki's mom was already there to help out. Sweet! Decorations were being placed all over, balloons were presents, banner which says "Happy 18th Birthday Nikki" was positioned, and the buffet table was set and ready. It was getting late and the guests were still few. Nevertheless, we carried on our plans. We had to remove the 18 Oranges and the 18 Kisses part because we lack guests. Aww.

setting up

Now, Cherry Anne went away to fetch Nikki. Cheanne was very nervous coz she had to make up something to convince Nikki to come with her. What she thought of was a surprise party for Cheanne's sister. A plan was devised, Cherry Anne would misscall Nikki's Mom if they were near the house. So while waiting...

while waiting

Alas, Nikki's mom told us to keep silent, turn off the lights, and prepare for they're coming. I was at the window so I can see what was happening outside. Cherry Anne was talking and Nikki and her boyfriend Kiko was with her. They were already at the gate. And then I thought! Oh No! The banner was there right in front of her to see. But then, I just kept quiet and proceeded to play. :) So there, Cherry Anne already opened the door and SURPRISE!!!

arrival

Nikki was still surprised even though she had a notion. She immediately hugged her mom who handed her a boquet of flowers. Nikki was shedding tears of joy. It was really a sight to see and I was glad I was there to witness such joy. After things were rounded up, the program began. The emcees were Ida and Thesa E. We started with the Opening Prayer led by Ramoncito.

Start of Program (Intro and Opening Prayer)

After that, it was time to eat. We were already hungry from the long wait. So...

The Princess and Her Prince

After some major picture taking sessions, it was now time to give her the presents. While giving the presents we also had to give our special message and what the presents mean or symbolize. While presents were given, some were playing with bubbles and they were Aprille, Cherry Anne, Edlin, and Arturo. Unfortunately, Aprille had no picture of her playing with bubbles. :(

bubbles and presents

After that, it was time for the BIRTHDAY CAKE to be wished upon, sliced, and eaten. :)

Birthday Cake

After that, guests were starting to depart. Thank Yous were said and Happy Birthday greetings were expressed too. I took pictures of some extra stuff.

Aprille and I were left with the family of Cherry Anne and Nikki to help clean up. We headed home around 10:30 PM and arrived home around 11:15 PM.

What a great and fulfilling day that was!

P.S. It was too early to sleep so I watched F.R.I.E.N.D.S. until 2 AM. Those collector's series were borrowed from Migz, a friend of mine and an artist.

Another Layout Done!

Posted at 07:22 PM | 6 comment(s)

I just finished another layout. And this one is for my friend/ former UPM Blockmate Chike.

She was formerly using a Blogger account but I advised her to use a Tabulas account instead. Coz it's very user friendly. Kudos to Tabulas.

Anyway, I convinced her and she made a Tabulas account. Before that, she asked me to do a layout for her Blogger account but Blogger codes are so different from Tabulas. Argh.

What are friends for? Anyway, I made that layout just last night. :) Haha. yey! I'm finally making layouts fast!

It's simple yet very girly and pink. She likes pink so much!

Tell me guys what you think about it okay?

I think I'm getting better with HTML everytime! :)

I wanna hear what you think guys! :) Go to her site and tag too! She'll be glad if you'll add her as your friend too! ;)

A New Blog and Layout

Posted at 02:30 PM | 13 comment(s)

No. That's not for me.

I just signed up my sister at Tabulas. Let that be my birthday present for her.

Check Mariah's Tabulas.

And tell me what you think ok?

The layout features PUCCA, her favorite. And the color scheme is red. :) Though purple is her favorite color, I can't make Pucca purple, can I?

So I want to know what you think about it okay?

Let me know. And please, do visit her site. She doesn't know about it yet so there are still no entries coz I'm not yet finished with her site. I want to present it to her a complete package. Everything taken care of except some personal stuff that she needs to edit.

I'm so excited.

Tabulas 2.0

Posted at 11:40 PM | 4 comment(s)

With the launch of Tabulas 2.0 comes a lot of problems.

First, adjustment. It would take us days to get used to every feature of Tabulas 2.0. That shouldn't be that hard to do. Though it may not appear as user-friendly as before, I'm pretty sure that we would all get accustomed to all of these great changes.

Second, losing templates. For all those that I've made layouts for, don't worry. I have backups of your templates. So if ever they got lost, don't hesitate to email me. I'll be glad to redo yours immediately after i redid mine. There are some codes that have been changed. Yeah, the release of Tabulas 2.0 will be kinda hard for me because I need to change some of the codes. Or maybe that's the majority.

Third, limited number of friends. This comes off as a problem to me. I have 400+ friends and I don't know how to delete them. Now, I've thought of an idea. Those who weren't updating will be deleted. Those who doesn't have very interesting entries will be deleted. Those who are not that close to me will be deleted. Those who rarely comments will be deleted. Now, for those who want to be kept as friends but were deleted, kindly comment here and I'll make ways. :) (whew, I'm kind after all.)

Fourth, bugs. Tabulas 2.0 still has a lot of bugs. Most of the features are still unavailable or has bugs because it's new. Kindly report to Roy any bug/s that would cross your way.

Fifth, template tags. Some of the template tags have been changed. Now, I have to redo the templates. Argh. I'm so gonna be busy for weeks starting now.

Tabulas 2.0 doesn't only present problems (that can be quickly resolved) it also presents great improvement.

First, and maybe the most important, quick loading time. yay! The pages load more quickly. Snaps to bloghopping. Great thumbs up Roy!

Second, beautiful control panel. The control panel (though it still has bugs) is way better looking this way. :) Also, it is very organized this way. Big thumbs up!

Third, birthday reminders. This is really a new feature and this allows us to greet fellow Tabulas users. :)

There are a lot of effects of the launching of Tabulas 2.0 but amidst everything, let us all thank Roy for making this great change possible. He's really the best.

Now, I can't wait to be of legal age. That way, I'll get to have my own bank account and then I could pay for a paid account. I would love to have a paid account. :)

Again, Thank You, Roy!

Dammit! It's so hard

Posted at 06:37 AM | 8 comment(s)

Damn! I'm so having a hard time figuring out the codes. Especially the style sheet.

I'm recoding my site. Trial and error. I need to fix my site to adapt to the new Tabulas.

Argh. I'm frustrated. I've been doing this for an hour now. I still can't figure some of the things right.

So if ever you see an ugly thing in my site, that's the trial template. Gosh.

Edit: I've been studying the codes from 4 am to 8 am. Yey! I did it. I now understand the new template tags. So tired to finish recoding my site, so now I have to sleep. Haven't slept till I woke up yesterday. Argh. To everyone who's asking for help, I'll help you later.

Slowing Down

Posted at 10:31 PM | 6 comment(s)

I have figured out that it would be better to keep this template for a while. Why? Because Tabulas still has some bugs. So, I'll fix your templates and mine after the bugs are gone. Is that an understanding?

So to aira_aira_aira, andeee, antipatika, coco_fourteen, shawarma, dprincesswanabe, ChrisChan, applejoy, jacs, pinklet and all the others who are asking for help, DON'T WORRY I'll be helping you with your sites after a few days.

Let's give Roy and Tabulas some time to fix the bugs and finish all the updates and let's also give ourselves some time to adjust to the new Tabulas.

I suggest to all of you to either use your old layout or use the default ones and after a few days perhaps I'll help all of you to fix your templates.

I'm still fixing mine so don't worry, we all have our share of problems and worries.

The good thing about this upgrade is that it is now in compliance with the web standards, it has a more user-friendly interface. It's just the codes that were messed up and also the color schemes. But I'm sure that it'll be fixed soon.

Let's all congratulate Roy for giving us a great Tabulas to blog on. :) :msphilChoi:

Studying XHTML

Posted at 12:55 PM | 14 comment(s)

For the past few hours I've been studying HTML, XML, and XHTML. Why? I'm trying to rewrite my template using the NEW language which is XHTML. I'm gonna be ready for that because it would soon be released.

I've learned a lot of things so far and I'm hoping that I could remember all of that.

After studying, I'll be applying what I learned here.

Why am I doing this? I want to have a valid page.

That's it.

I want to show the world that I care about my site and that I want it to be valid.

I will also make a new layout that will come with the new template. :)

I'm planning to make my Tabulas page a really great one. And one that loads real fast. *I hope!*

Now, I'm thinking what to put on my next layout for this. Oh. Maybe a Valentines Day theme. That is for the whole of February. Then I'd better start making it now.

P.S. For those waiting for the updates on Music_HTML don't worry because I'll be updating as soon as I have free time. I'm just studying to create a more useful and web standard page. Sorry for the long wait.

P.P.S. For those who have requested for layouts, I would request all of you to wait. I won't be abandoning you anyway. I'm just in the process of improving my style, taste, and talent.

The PGH Visit

Posted at 08:28 PM in Personal | 12 comment(s)

My mom woke me at 7:30 this morning. The reason behind that is I would be going to PGH to have my pre-auricular sinus excised.

So I ate breakfast, took a bath and then dressed. I was ready to go by 9 am. My mom dropped me off the jeepney stop. From there I took a jeep (from Moonwalk to Multinational), then took another jeep (from Multinational to LRT Baclaran), then took the LRT (Baclaran to Pedro Gil). I arrived at the Philippine General Hospital (PGH) at around 10 in the morning.

When I was at the jeep (Multinational to LRT Baclaran) and we're nearing the LRT station, I noticed that there's a new Chowking. Well, it is still actually being built. It's in front of McDonald's. :) Well, I still prefer McDonalds. Though I go to Chowking whenever I crave for Halo-Halo. :)

So from that Chowking I alighted the jeep and walked all the way from there to the LRT station. It's not that long ride from there but there's already traffic so I opted to walk. Now, when I was inside the LRT I was seated between two girls and they're friends/classmates. I can't help but overhear their conversation, of course. And OMG they're planning to cheat. Haha. Funny conversation. I was like about to laugh then but you know, I was kinda shy and I know they won't be amused. :)

So I alighted at the Pedro Gil station and then I crossed the street. Walked to UP-PGH Health Service and asked for the referral slip. It's a great privilege to be an employee/student of UP and PGH because you're prioritized. You'll see why.

At the Out-Patient Department there's always a long queue. Morning till night. Whatever the day is. That's because the service there is free or the pay is minimal. Unlike in the pay ward with the consultants that ask very high prices. In the OPD you get the residents and the med proper students to check up on you. Plus, consultation there is free. The only ugly thing there is the long line. Well, you don't have to wait if you're an employee or a student of the University of the Philippines-Manila (UPM) or the Philippine General Hospital (PGH) because you'll first be checked at the UP-PGH Health Service and then you'll be referred to the other departments if needed.

What I did was check first with the Health Service and asked for a referral slip. Then I went directly to the ENT section of the OPD. I handed the referral slip and voila! I was next in line. The next thing I knew my name was being called. Haha. :)

My health history was checked first by a med student. Oh, how I love med students. I really admire them. :) That's because I want to be a doctor someday.

The med student checked my ears, nose, and throat. I feel funny whenever they do that. It kinda tickles me. haha.

After that, I was referred to the Resident Doctor. The doctor first cleaned my ears. *Shy* haha. There's some flaky cerumen. Ya know, the normal type. And they just couldn't clearly see my eardrum so they cleaned it first. They used a suction thing very small and a tweezer that's very small too. It's cute and I didn't know they have that. Haha. The suction thing tickles my ears but the tweezers doesn't it hurt my ears. *Ouch!

Good thing the doctor and the med student are very kind. They really are kind because even though I look snotty and bratty they're still kind. Hehe.

And then they asked me if I would prefer a private operation or the one in the charity. Then I said private (I don't know why) and they referred me to a consultant. They asked me to go to Ward 10 and look for Dr. Nathaniel Yang. Minutes later, I was already talking to him. He told me all about the pre-auricular sinus and how the operation would be done. Then he asked me if I wanted local or general anaesthesia. Then he suggested local because it's only a MINOR operation. Then he asked me too whether it's my first time to be admitted here. I said yes. He explained all about the consultants and the residents. He told me that the consultants are getting paid by the patients. And then I was like whoa! I didn't know that. I thought all in PGH was free. haha. silly me. So maybe that's why Dr. Yang looks so handsome. lolz. Anway, he then asked me whether I wanted to be operated on by the consultant or the resident. He told me his price. And for a simple operation, it's totally expensive. He told me it's gonna cost Php7,000.00. OMG! I don't have that much money. I mean my family doesn't have that much money. So I then thanked him for his time (half-hoping that he could waiver my consultation fee but he didn't). I then paid Php300.00 for the consultation. So expensive.

I'll never consult with a private consultant in the near future. It's just so expensive.

So after that I called my mom and told her about it. Sorry for spending Php300.00 and then she told me to go with the charity thing. (coz it's way cheaper). With the minor operation, I'll only pay less than Php500.00 I think. And no doctor's fee. I'll only pay for the things that would be used. See? It's way cheaper.

So I went back to ENT-OPD and told the Resident doctor there that I would like to be scheduled for the minor operation.

I will be having my pre-auricular sinus excised under local anaesthesia at ENT-OR Block H on January 21, 2005 (Friday) at around 7 in the morning.

I'm so scared. It would be my first time to undergo an operation. I'm creeped out. I'm so scared of that. And to think it's local anaesthesia. huhu. I'll be awake that time. I'm so scared.

After that, I went to Robinson's Place to eat lunch and to buy some toiletries. But before eating I went window shopping first. and there are 2 new shops. Both shoe shops. The Wade and the other one which name I forgot (I'll update this later). The store whose name I forgot has pricey shoes. Prices range from Php1,000.00 to Php2,000.00. Well, I'm not sure with that because I haven't checked every shoe. Anyway, the shoes there are very beautiful but damn expensive. At least it's expensive for me. The other store, Wade, is comparably cheaper. The prices range from Php300.00 to Php1,000.00. Cheaper but seemingly beautiful as well.

Oh God, my shopaholic side wants to take over.

After window shopping, I ate at KFC. Then I went window shopping again. But then I saw BOOKSALE and went in. I now have two new second-hand books: Dancing In the Light by Shirley Maclaine and The Last Coyote by Michael Connelly.

I only bought two books because I have not enough money to buy all the ten books I was holding. *Poor me*

At last, I bought toiletries. And then went window shopping again. Then went home.

I'm so tired right now from window shopping.

If I had the money I would have bought those super fantastic shoes, super fantastic dresses, super fantastic tops and bottoms, super fantastic jewelries, and super fantastic toiletries to pamper myself.

But then the above paragraph would never happen in my life. *sad*

So Sorry

Posted at 06:06 PM in Personal | 2 comment(s)

Well, I've already deleted the entry I've made about the "filipina girl who flamed and left tabulas".

So I was angsty too.

I'm so sorry to all those I've offended.

I do know now that two wrongs don't make a right.

So to Jopay, a public apology for not treating you as you should be treated.

It gave me a heavy heart when I posted it. So I just made it friends-only. Then when I went home I decided that I did a really bad thing. So I deleted it as soon as I got access to the internet.

Sorry again.

Lessons learned, treat people as humans, two wrongs don't make a right, being unkind is not the right thing, wrong things do bother the conscience.

* * *

Anyway, I'm so nervous about my upcoming minor PAS operation. So what do you guys think of my new layout?

So, I'm going to attend mass tonight and yeah, I'm gonna pray real hard for everything to go smooth.

Pray for me too. I do hope that after the operation I would recover pretty fast.

Waah. I'm gettign paranoid. It's like I'm already feeling the scalpel against my skin.

Help!

Yey! I made a new layout for paperclip.

Click here for the screenshot or you can go to her blog.

She'll be surprised to see a new look when she opens her blog. Hehe. I haven't told her that I would be uploading the new layout. Well, I like surprises. Lolz.

So what do you guys think of her new layout? And as much as possible I tried to make her blog XHTML valid but the smilies and the tagboard are in the way.

It's almost valid, anyway. And her layout was made in just 3 and a half hours. *claps*

Operation, a Success!

Posted at 03:04 PM in Personal | 40 comment(s)

(First, a lesson about Pre-auricular Sinus)

On January 20, 2005 I started preparing for the operation for the excision of my pre-auricular sinus. My dad went with me to Mercury Drugstore to buy the things necessary for the operation.

Things Needed For PAS:
5 ml Syringe
Needle g25
Vicryl or Chronic 4-0 w/ round needle
Nylon 5-0 with cutting needle
Penrose Drain
Lidocaine 2%
Epinephrine

We went to 2 Mercury Drugstore branches and still we lack 3 items. We decided to buy the items left tomorrow. Here's the rundown of expenses:

Things Needed For PAS (Price):
5 ml Syringe (Php6.50)
Needle g25 (Php1.95)
Vicryl or Chronic 4-0 w/ round needle (Php240.00)
Nylon 5-0 with cutting needle
Penrose Drain
Lidocaine 2% (in vial Php25.50)
Epinephrine

Before going to bed, I did my nails. Well, no polish but I cleaned it. :)

Yesterday, January 21, 2005, I woke up at around 4:45 am. My dad, who was supposed to accompany me to the hospital was on graveyard shift and probably would overtime. So my mom told me that she would be the one to accompany me. Soon, we're ready and we went out of the house. We were in great luck that day because we saw our neighbor's car backing out of the driveway. Our neighbor works at Philippine General Hospital (PGH) and their daughter is one of my close friends. So, we rode with them to the hospital. I was trying to sleep inside the car but I was really nervous of the upcoming operation.

At around 7:00 am we're already in front of the OPD of PGH. We dropped by first at the nearest pharmacy to buy the necessary things needed.

Things Needed For PAS (Price):
5 ml Syringe (Php6.50)
Needle g25 (Php1.95)
Vicryl or Chronic 4-0 w/ round needle (Php240.00)*Nylon 5-0 with cutting needle (Php200.00)
*Penrose Drain(Php35.00)
*Lidocaine 2% (in vial Php25.50) (in ampule Php30.50)
*Epinephrine (Php17.00)

After that, we hurried back to the Operating Room of the ENT-OPD we were told to come there by 7:00 am.

The receptionist there checked our things and then asked my mom to leave. Waah. I'm so getting nervous. We were also asked to sign on some papers. Soon, I'm walking by myself to Room 225 (Minor Operation). Upon entering the door, I removed my shoes and put on my clean slippers, as asked. I went inside the double door and there I was greeted by some resident doctors and other patients as well. They were all asking about me and my case. Everyone was making small talk.

I was there at around 7:20 am and I was called 3 hours later. During the wait, I was changing positions (my feet). Sometimes, I'm sitting cross-legged, or Indian style, or the normal. It's also very cold there. I was near shivering state. By that time, my fear was gone and how to make myself warm was all I'm thinking of. I was then asked to enter a semi-kind-of ward and I was asked to unhook my bra. (It was for the cautery.) Anyway, I lie down the bed and a lady there wiped my outer ears with Betadine (to clean it). After 5 minutes, I think, 2 doctors came in. They are Dr. Saquian and Dr. Alban, and they're about to perform the operation.

They first injected anesthesia on my left ear. I'm telling you, it hurts a lot. But after that, I can feel no more pain. They first made an incision and followed the sinus tract. Then they removed/ scraped it. Sometimes, the doctor explained, the sinus tract is sticking to the cartilage. So they have to remove some cartilage too. After that, they stitched it. I have no idea how many stitches they made because they didn't tell me. So they're done with the left ear. They proceeded to my right ear and did the same procedures. They said it was easier with my right ear because the sinus tract was shorter and there was no previous infection.

After 2 hours, the operation was done. They put a bandage on both of my ears. And then the doctor gave me prescriptions. They got the whole of my sinus tract. Thanks to them. But, they didn't let me see the removed pre-auricular sinus. I so wanted to see them. Anyway, I think they thought that I might freak out so they just kept it. haha. Minutes later, the left ear was starting to throb. Oww!

After that, I went outside to my mom and told her everything that happened inside. Then we went to Robinson's Place to eat. We ate lunch at Chef D'Angelo. Yummy! We ordered Great White Pizza, Caesar's Salad and 2 Iced Teas. Yummy! I was having a little bit of hard time chewing. I was afraid that my stitches would open.

After Chef D'Angelo, we headed to Mercury Drugstore to buy the prescripted drugs. Painkillers, ointments, and antibiotics.

Prescription:
Cloxacillin [Oxyclen] 500 mg (Php12.50 each) 1 capsule every 6 hours x 7 days
Mupirocin [Bactroban] (Php247.50) apply after cleaning wound
Etoricoxib [Arcoxia] (Php63.50 each) 1 tablet once a day x 3 days

Conclusion: The operation done by the residents was way much cheaper than if done by a consultant.

Anyway, I wanted to rest early so we went home in a taxi. I was able to sleep during the ride and I immediately took some pictures with my webcam.

I'm rushing this because I want to rest immediately but I want to let you know first what happened. So I'll edit this later to fill in some details.

Here's my picture taken with a webcam. January 21, 2005. 2:50 PM.

After Operation 2:50 pm

64 Friends

Posted at 02:25 PM in Personal, Tabulas | 13 comment(s)

yey! I've been filtering my friends list. And from 450++ I'm now down to 64 friends.

*sigh*

I know I've deleted a lot. And to all those deleted, don't worry, I'll still drop by your blog. The best thing that you could do to make me notice you and your blog is to comment religiously. It's not that much to ask.

Persons I've left in my friends list: real life friends, chatmates, close tabulas users, person who comment and visit my blog regularly.

Sorry to all those I've removed and are now in my friends-of list. You're still lucky coz I got links to your site. :) I can just view my profile and visit all your blogs.

I'm down to 64 friends now because that's the limit. And besides, it's really a strain on the servers. Sometimes, you might see that Tabulas is down and it is not scheduled maintenance. That's because of the friends thing. So, the play safe I've complied with Roy's wishes. And besides I don't wanna be blamed. Who knows someone out there is cussing and such saying, "F*ck! It's Monique and her long list of friends that's making Tabulas die."

Lolz. Anyway, I rarely have friends only posts anyway, so I don't think that the friends thing would be an issue.

Life Savers Candy

All the Life Savers You Can Have

I'm getting addicted to them. They're oh so deliciously yummy! :) ^^ I made the collage! :)

Life Savers History

Life Savers were invented in Cleveland, Ohio in 1912 by Clarence A. Crane who was looking for a new candy to supplement his chocolate business that slumped in the hot weather. He developed a line of hard mints but didn't have the space or machinery to make them. He contracted with a pill manufacturer to press the mints into shape.

The pill manufacturer, whose machine was malfunctioning, found that the pressing process worked much better when the had mints were stamped out with a hole in the middle. He called the new candy "Cranes Life Savers" because they looked like miniature life preservers.

Crane sold the formula for Life Savers in 1913 for $2900 to Edward J. Noble. The mints became officially known as Pep-O-Mint Life Savers. Noble's contribution was to package the mints into rolls wrapped in tin foil to prevent them from going stale. The process was done by hand until 1919 when machinery was developed. In 1925 aluminum foil was used for the first time.

Mr. Noble promoted his candy at the cash registers of saloons, cigar stores, drug stores, barbers shops and restaurants. He had the candy placed, with a five-cents price, near the case register. He then requested that the cashier made sure that each customer, regardless of what he or she bought, got a nickel in the change being returned. Most people used the nickel to purchase the candy with a hole in the middle. The idea moved like wild fire and Noble's fortune was on the way.

** I'm so craving for Life Savers. I want the Sour, the Tangy, and the Wild Cherry. Waah!

Yey! The Tabulas Communities are back! :)

Though the layout is ugly. It's better than having no communities. :)

Thanks Roy!

I hope we could make layouts for the communities.

Whoa!

Yes, I'm back. I was gone for like 4 days. hehe.

Neway, I forgot to tell you that my stitches (from the operation) was taken off by my doctor last Thursday, January 27.

The right one's healing fine, but the left one's bigger. Waah.

Hopefully, the wound would heal soon. I'll be going back to PGH on Thursday again.

So, I was shocked when I saw that I can't see my archives. Waah.

"Older archives are not available for free users."

Gasp. I can't do anything about it. I should get a paid account now. Too bad I can't let other people read my archives. Waah. *Need lots of money*

I know $28 a year is not too much. Problem is, I don't have a Paypal account, I have no bank account, I have no money. Argh. I really would want a free paid account. waah.

*help!*
