All thanks to Arcy.

Well, not actually a stranger. We've been associated a lot of times in the forums and in his blog. :)

yey! He's so kind. To think that this is the first time that I actually had a conversation with him and he surprised me with paid account.

Thanks dear! :) *BIG HUG*

I'll savor this worthwile experience while this lasts.

I don't know for how long but I think it's for three months. But who cares? At least I do get to experience this! haha. Thanks again, Arcy.

P.S. I feel so overwhelmed. I've been touched by an angel.

First Shot at Animation

Posted at 01:39 PM in Personal | 16 comment(s)

Well, I've been playing camwhore with the webcam and with the Oakley shades that I've got so here's the result. :)

shades lomo

The result is like that of a lomo camera. =D

Sorry for the webcam, it's really dark coz it's dim here. :(

And, since I've always wanted to know how to make animated gifs, I viewed some tutorials on the net and asked a few persons including Pamela. Here's the result of tinkering with Adobe Imageready 7.0:

shades animated

I know the animations and the transitions are so very amateur. But what the heck! It's my first shot at animated gifs.

Wee!! Tell me what you think ok? hehe. Desctructive and most especially constructive criticisms are very much appreciated.

Chuchay on the Phone

Posted at 07:11 PM in Daily Ramblings | 10 comment(s)

Yey! It's the first time I had a chat with Chuchay.

Hey, girl, you have a pretty voice. So girly and so soft. :D

Anyway, I can't believe how fast we connected. Haha. Can you believe that? I mean this is the first time we talked (Y!M and phone) and yet we connected. It's like we know a lot about each other already. Though we constantly chat here in Tabulas, I've never heard the voice behind her. I'm so glad that I've got the chance to talk to her.

I'm looking forward to more talks with her. She's a really really nice person. Too bad that I'll be going home early. Too bad that I don't have a cellphone right now. Too bad that we don't have phone at home.

But, amidst those frustrations, I'm still happy. I don't know why. (Connection?!)

P.S. To anyone out there, I need suggestions on how I could earn good money the fast way. I need money badly. And it's a rush. :D

Pre-Valentines

Posted at 12:53 AM in Personal, Daily Ramblings | 12 comment(s)

I forgot to tell you guys that... Wait! I didn't forget. I purposely did not tell you guys before that I have a date last Saturday, February 12.

So who is this guy? He's actually courting me. And he's 26 years old. He's an artist. He's a kind person. Anyway, he's really asking for a date so I gave in to his request. It's just a date, no biggie. Anyway, it was to be on February 12, and he's to pick me up at 10 am.

On Feb. 12, I got ready for that date and I was ready an hour early. When 10 am came I'm getting a bit worried. 30 minutes later, I'm already thinking. 2 hours later, I got so pissed off that I went back home.

Stupid of him to diss me on a date! Who is he to do this to me? My mom got mad too. Why'd he do that? Of all people. Well, he's too old for me. And I'm just giving him a chance, as he asked. And he ruined it. If he's thinking of asking me for a 2nd date, no way!

*sigh*

Guys, what would you have done if ever you're in my place?

Anyway, the night of Feb. 12, my mom said that he went here at G-Unit. He didn't even talk to my mom.

Feb. 13, Sunday, and he still hasn't called. Screw him. All his chances of being with me are ruined. No way am I gonna date a man that is late and who can never make a commitment. Argh!

Anyway, February 12's the birthday of my lovely sister, Trisha.

Happy Birthday, Trisha! Love you!

After I went home, I told them that we (my family) could go out, since it's Trisha's birthday. But everyone's busy so I just went back to G-Unit. Later in the evening, we went to church and attended the anticipated mass.

So, Feb. 13 came and there's a party that Trisha's invited to. So we need to buy a gift. I asked Mariah to go with us but she refused. Anyway, so it's just Trisha and me hitting the mall to buy a gift and some other things.

Anyway, we spoke in English all the time. Trisha's getting better. Thumbs up, Trisha!

Well, back to the story, after we went outside the store, someone called my name. When I turned my head, I was shocked to see a childhood friend. Well, we're not really close but ya know how things go around in a neighborhood. They say that this guy has a crush on me. Anyway, Trisha wanted an icecream so we went to the food court. Joey, the guy, was with a friend and they sat with us at the table. Seconds later he left and he came back with a paper back. Pizza!

He bought us two slices of pizza. One for Trisha, one for me. Trisha rarely eats pizza, and this time, thank God, she ate! Ice cream on one hand, pizza on the other. Heaven!

:P So we talked a little and Trisha and I bid goodbye since we're running late for the party. Btw, Trisha said, "this is the best day ever!". haha. Look at that girl, she talks like a grown-up already.

Haha. So that was how my day went.

P.S. I watched F.R.I.E.N.D.S. 2 more episodes and I'm on to Season 5. Yes!

Business

Posted at 08:59 PM in Personal | 19 comment(s)

I've decided to work. Well, this is actually a good plan to alleviate some of our financial problems.

Since I can and am skilled in webdesign I can do it for you. Customized and originally for you, for a price.

You see, I had been doing free custom layouts for the past few months. And you should know that it's not an easy thing to do.

So now, I'm gonna ask for something in return. Money. Cash.

If you want to have a custom layout, meaning only you would have that design, you can have it for a price.

I'm not doing this just for myself, I'm doing this to help my family.

This is really a good opportunity for me to earn good money.

Well, since a lot of people have been asking me to design their sites, I've decided that I could make a living out of this.

Prices

layout with image & coding: Php 550 or $10

with matching guestbook (bravenet accounts only): Php 650 or $12
with 2 link buttons: Php 600 or $11
with installation: Php 600 or $11

just a guestbook (bravenet accounts only): Php 200 or $3.50
just an image (for headers): Php 200 or $3.50
just coding (using your own image): Php 250 or $4

link button/s ONLY: Php 30 or $0.50, and three for Php 60 or $1

don't want to give me credit? You can double the price and you may take the link off!

So those are the prices. Payment options can be discussed privately.

Reminder, I'm not doing this for myself. Money would go to a good cause.

Thank you for your support! :)

This is the last of the free custom layouts I made.

This one is for Katrina's other site, _disturbed.

Tell me what you think about that ok?

*The layout looks so holy and pure. :)

By the way, I got my first real customer for the paid custom layouts, it's infinite_ktine. I'll be now working on her layout. :) Thanks, dear. This'll help a lot! :)

Mariah's Bookmarks

Posted at 05:21 PM in Personal, Daily Ramblings | 6 comment(s)

My sister, Mariah, has a computer project that asked them to make bookmarks.

Well, since I didn't like the way she does her bookmarks I offered to help her.

The teacher asked them to make 2 bookmarks which has borders, cliparts, and has a quote. Also, it must be colored.

So here's what I did for her.

Mariah's Bookmarks

Pretty, huh? Hope she'll be proud of this.

Pinoy computerese

Posted at 10:44 AM in Entertainment | 3 comment(s)

Since computers will be here till the end of time, Filipino will be integrated in the computer glossary as a project of the Microsoft Corporation.

The project's purpose is to preserve the Filipino language and to lure the non-techie Filipinos into using computers.

Here are some examples:

Computer Glossary

English - - - - - - - - - - - - - Filipino
My Computer - - - - - - - - - Kompiyuter Ko
My Network Places - - - - - Pook-Network Ko
System Configuration - - - Kumpigurasyon ng Sistema
Message Box - - - - - - - - - Kahon ng Mensahe
All Caps - - - - - - - - - - - - - Lahat Malalaki Titik
Bullet - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Panghanay
Internet Access Provider - Tagasustento ng Akses sa Internet
System Administrator - - - Tagapangasiwa ng Sistema

I can now see all of you gasping!

The Microsoft Corporation said that we should neither worry nor fear because this is only an alternative. You don't have to use this kind of system if you don't want to.

Some computer terms would be preserved like draft, save, and mouse. Who would want to call 'mouse' a 'daga' right?

Chipped Nails and Rinoa

Posted at 01:08 AM in Personal, Daily Ramblings | 3 comment(s)

Last night, the nail on the middle finger of my left hand got chipped.

It's actually now broken. It didn't hurt but I need to re-do my nails. Argh.

I now officially have shimmery pink nail polish.

Anyway, I've been searching for Rinoa pictures, and when I asked a friend of mine (ex-suitor/ex-bestfriend) to help me, he said, "you're not a lesbian, aren't you?"

Lol. It's a good thing I explained to him that it is for something and not for my personal viewing pleasure. Heck, I know Rinoa of Final Fantasy is pretty. But she's just an animation. And I'm not a freaking lesbian!

I'm gonna be a youth/teen columnist in 2 weeks. Yay for me!

Tomorrow, I get to meet someone new. Yay! *excited*

The Phantom of The Opera

Posted at 09:01 PM in Entertainment | 10 comment(s)

I have this movie just a few hours ago with Willie.

Phantom of the Opera

Warner Brothers did it again.

This movie is a hit just like it's soundtrack.

(The Story)

The story line is romantic, as you may have read in the synopsis.

The cinematography is really superb. The lighting, the music, and the transitioning is superbly done.

Christine Daae played by Emmy Rossum is such a phenomenal character in the musical. Also the Phantom played by Gerard Butler. They have truly shown a remarkable performance.

What I like about this musical is that the songs are so powerful and it gets stuck in your head. Believe me, that song has been stucked in my head for hours already, and I'm still humming it.

The plot also is rich, it's moving. The romantic love triangle between the Phantom, Christine Daae, and Raoul is just so romantic. And since I'm a sucker for romance, The Phantom of the Opera truly grabbed my heart.

All in all, I give The Phantom of the Opera a rating of 9/10.

You guys should watch it. You won't be sorry.

To the Movie House

Posted at 09:46 PM in Personal, Daily Ramblings | 9 comment(s)

Last night, Willie asked me if I go out with him to watch the movie "The Phantom of the Opera". I asked my mom for permission through Y!M. (LOL I know we're computer geeks :P) Anyway, she said yes and then my meeting with Willie is set. HAHA

1:30 PM Booksale Robinson's Place

Yey. I got there at exactly 1:30 pm. Honestly, I was 10 minutes early. He arrived at like 1:40 pm. Anyway, good thing he recognized me. I was almost afraid that he wouldn't.

Anyway, we checked out Booksale first and then headed to the cinemas.

Yay. I'm excited to watch "The Phantom of the Opera". You see I've been hearing a lot about it and the soundtrack is like stuck on my head for like forever.

Anyway, we had a semi-hard time finding a seat coz it was really dark. We didn't get to view it from the start so after the movie was finished we stayed there and waited for the movie to screen again. :)

Willie's a sport. Yeah. He's kind and all. Thanks for the great company. It's been nice meeting you.

P.S. Thank you for the book, Memoirs of a Geisha.

Read his entry too and see the day on his POV.

A Congested Day

Posted at 11:59 PM in Personal, Daily Ramblings | 4 comment(s)

My day has been somewhat action-packed and it left me feeling light like I'm floating or something.

I woke up really early because I have to open the shop with my mom. I usually don't do this but I need to for I need to type the remaining bits of the write-up that I need to submit to Chuchay.

So in between typing words, G-Unit customers would halt me from work and ask for my help. Great, just great. Here I am in front of computer #7, typing a very important piece, and customers incessantly ask for help. Well, of course, I helped them first. I scanned documents, diskettes, typed their works and projects before doing mine. The result, I finished my write-up 2 hours later. Well, at least I submitted it an hour before the deadline. :P

Well, what a coincidence because today is the day my sister, Mariah, gets her report card. And who else would get it for her? You got that right, me!

So when the clock struck 11 am, I hurriedly finished my work coz it's time to go. I rode a jeep, then another jeep, then crossed the street, then rode another jeep, crossed an overpass, and walked 2 blocks before arriving at my sister's school. I arrived there at 12 noon. I thought I was gonna be there 30 minutes earlier, damn. But nothing bad happened anyway. I won't discuss her grades here. LOL

So after getting her card, I immediately left and rode a jeep and crossed an overpass to get to SM Sucat. I was to open a bank account for my web design business. Unfortunately, I lack something, money. I'm short of a thousand pesos. Haha. The teller there noticed the book I'm carrying, Memoirs of a Geisha, and she got it from me and asked me what it's all about. Yeah, we talked while she's working in the bank. Lol, she shouldv'e allowed me to open an account there. So, I left the bank with a dissappointed look and then I just thought of food and all problems faded away. I went to McDo to buy Trisha's lunch. And then I went to KFC to buy my and my mom's lunch. :D

I hurriedly went back to G-Unit. Saw lots of cuties on the ride home. But I doubt if they even noticed me. Bleh. I was like wearing a body bag, holding 3 plastic bags of take-out food on one hand, and Memoirs of a Geisha on the other. I look like drab.

When I got home, I ate lunch and then there comes the typing jobs again. Seems like I'm working non-stop today.

G-Unit was really full and I was like handling everything here.*Feeling manager*

Anyway, at night, I got a lot of customers again. What is with this month? Project-making month?

I'm not complaining coz typing jobs give me money in return. Haha. It's just that I've noticed that I'm typing a lot of projects lately. And some are even RUSH work.

Good thing I had them managed and under me. ;)

I feel tired. I feel like I had a really long day.

P.S. I'm looking forward to going to Cavite for my grade school bestfriend's debut. I'm just really scared coz that would be my first time to commute to Cavite. Aww. Pray for my safety.

P.P.S. I'm already in Chapter 9 in Memoirs of a Geisha. Yey!

Bonding with Sisters

Posted at 07:02 PM in Personal, Daily Ramblings, Books | 12 comment(s)

Today, I've decided to take a break from managing G-Unit Net Cafe. I stayed home. Surprising, huh?

Anyway, I spent the morning in a not really good and amusing way. Would you call managing the checkbooks a good way of spending time? Lol. I was playing with numbers and a lot of records. Ack! While working, I was also watching the news and after that, some variety shows and then cartoons.

After watching SIS, a mid-morning variety show on GMA, I took a bath with my sister, Trisha. Then, waited for my mom to come coz she'll bring us food for lunch.

After lunch, my mom asked me to run some errands. I just said that since I'm gonna do the groceries, I'll just go to the nearest grocery store, which is Puregold. And then my sister also asked my to buy a book, Philippine Constitution 1987. And so I needed to go to National Bookstore too, great! That prompted me to go to SM Sucat. And then I said, heck no. I won't go to SM it's too far and I'm too lazy. I wouldn't go there unless I'm gonna watch a movie. And so a thought struck my sister Mariah's head. Haha. She'd also like to watch a movie. Great, at least, I've got company. Anyway, my mom suggested that why don't we three (Me, Mariah, and Trisha) go see a movie.

I immediately suggested Constantine. But my sisters all wanted to watch Let the Love Begin. They've been wanting to watch it the first time they saw the trailer. Ack.

So we went to SM Sucat, then grabbed something to eat, and then entered the cinema. Now, about the movie. Well it really has the kilig factor, considering that the 2 hottest loveteams in the Philippine Showbiz are on that movie. It's really a teenybopper movie, which would be perfect if you have a boyfriend with you who's hugging you or holding your hand. But in my case, there's no boyfriend. I should be content with what I have so I held Trisha and Mariah's hands instead. *sober* So the movie was really a typical teen-romance movie. The only different thing I saw was that it was a rich girl-poor boy love affair instead of the usual rich boy-poor girl. Hm, thinking about it, it was quite okay anyway. Another thing that struck me, Angel Locsin's stalker there actually looks like a friend of mine. Those who have watched that movie and those who really know me would know who I'm referring to. They'd probably be laughing out loud by now. Even my sister Mariah thinks the same thing. Haha. About Mark and Jennylyn, well they're pretty much a cute pair. They're so pa-cute. One thing I couldn't believe, my sister Trisha really cried during the movie. She asked for my hanky. Haha. That sis has too soft a heart. Well, I could've cried too since I'm a sucker for sappy romantic movies, but I was holding back my tears.

After the movie, we quite rushed to the grocery and we're done in 30 minutes. Whew! So we hurried back home since we were expected to be home an hour ago.

P.S. While in the grocery, I can't help but notice the Cadbury Dairy Milk Chocettes. When I went to another grocery store, I grabbed one fast and of course, paid for it. Lol. I can't resist temptation.

P.P.S. Check out my Radio Blog! I added more songs. Filipinos, click! You'll like what you see inside.

P.P.S. I just finished reading Memoirs of a Geisha by Arthur Golden. Quite speechless after reading it. I was really overwhelmed! :)

2 Revamped Sites

Posted at 03:10 AM in Tabulas, Daily Ramblings | 8 comment(s)

I've been busy this day doing mostly computer related stuff.

First, I've revamped the Tropang Pauso group blog! Yey! I've done a lot there. Added music. Validated codes. Used Tabulas Tags. And a lot more stuff.

Second, I made a G-Unit Net Cafe Web Site. I did this just this 1:30 am. LOL Anyway, it's mainly a portal site that would later feature more G-Unit Net Cafe related stuff. Hope you notice the music there. :) There's JayZ/Linkin Park and Greenday there.

Which reminds me to place them in music_html.

Ugh. So much to do. I've got a date later this afternoon. Wish me luck.
